Product Application:

The TVLINK5.8-XX Portable TV Video Link is a low-cost, high-quality video plus audio link ideally suited for applications such as mobile TV news-gathering systems.

The FM system operates in the unlicensed 5740-5860 MHz ISM band and can be used at line-of-sight distances of up to 15 Kilometers, depending on options.

The system transmits NTSC or PAL video channels with stereo or mono audio. Each transmitter can be tuned to any one of 12 channels within the band.

Simultaneous transmissions of multiple channels from one of from several mobile TV stations to the same central base station are possible.

The link has an omni-directional receive antenna so that signals can be transmitted from anywhere (within line of sight of the receiver) without the need to point the receive antenna towards the transmitter.

The last two digits of the TVLINK5.8-XX model number select for the available options. The first digit is for the number of simultaneous programs desired (from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 6) and the second indicates the powering options: 1 for 12 VDC and 2 for 85 to 140 Volt AC, 50 to 60 Hz).

The transmit antenna is provided with mounting hardware to facilitate antenna pointing.
